Storm-dented panels
Hail Damage Repair in Rockwall Without Losing the Factory Finish
Hail that rolls in off Lake Ray Hubbard can dimple every flat surface on a car in a few minutes. We take those dents out while keeping the original paint, seams and roof structure the way the factory built them.

Why We Care About the Paint More Than the Dents
A hail dent looks cosmetic, and most of the time it is. The layer underneath is the part we think about. Factory paint sits on top of e-coat and sealers that keep the steel from rusting from the inside out, and once that system is sanded through, a repair has to rebuild it. Paintless dent removal lets us massage the metal back from behind and leave that original protection alone. Roofs get extra care because the headliner hides the side curtain airbags, and those have to be unclipped and reinstalled exactly as the procedure says. Whether your car sat in a lot off John King Boulevard or in a driveway in Heath, the goal is the same: panels that look right and a car that still behaves right.
Inside a Careful Hail Repair
Hail work is slow, precise and mostly invisible when it's done well. Here is what goes into it.
Reading panels against a line board
Each panel is viewed under a lined reflection board, so shallow dents that hide in daylight show up as kinks in the lines.
Dent totals your adjuster can check
Every dent is sized and tallied by panel, giving the adjuster numbers to verify instead of a rough guess.
Rods worked from the inside
Most dents come out with long steel rods pressed from behind the skin, so the factory paint and corrosion coating never get broken.
Curtain airbag care at the roof
Reaching the roof means lowering the headliner. The side curtain airbags and their clips are handled to procedure and checked on reassembly so they deploy as designed.
Outside pulls on double-walled sections
Roof rails and pillar edges often have no back access, so those dents are pulled from the outside with glue tabs and leveled by hand.
Rust protection rebuilt on chipped spots
If a stone cracked the paint, that spot is sanded, primed and sealed so bare steel isn't left to rust under a fresh coat.
A new skin when the metal is stretched
A hood or roof with large, sharp dents can be stretched past what rods can fix. Then we replace the panel and seal its seams the factory way.
Glass, lenses and sensors looked over
Hail can chip a windshield, crack a lamp or knock a mirror-mounted sensor out of position. We note those so nothing safety-related waits for later.
Three Stages From Storm to Finished Car
- Step 1
Survey and count
You bring the car in and we roll it under the boards. Every panel gets read and every dent gets recorded by size. You get photos and a plain explanation of what can be done paintless and what can't. That record becomes the backbone of the claim.
- Step 2
Line up the claim and the parts
Hail usually falls under comprehensive coverage, and we walk you through what that means for your deductible. The count goes to the adjuster with the photos. Any panels that need replacing are ordered before teardown, so the car doesn't sit apart waiting on a box.
- Step 3
Repair, reassemble, recheck
Dents come out panel by panel, then the headliner and trim go back with every airbag clip confirmed. We put the car back under the boards for a second read. You look it over with us in good light before you take it home.
What Steady Hail Work Gets You
Original protection left in place
Factory paint and e-coat stay unbroken wherever the metal allows. That keeps the corrosion resistance the car left the plant with.
Airbags treated as safety parts, not trim
The headliner is the most rushed part of many hail jobs. Here the curtain airbags get the same attention as the dents.
Storm season is routine for us
Rockwall sits right in the path of North Texas spring storms. We expect hail cars every year and plan the work so they don't linger.
Car Pocked After the Last Storm?
Even when the dents are small, a count now makes the claim easier later. Tell us what you're seeing and we'll explain how the repair would go.
